That is the one thing on the internet that really bugs me. Bad spelling! The the loose word being used for lose is the worst.
You see it a lot, but it doesn't bug me because I just assume it is loose fingers - like I sometimes think "weigh" and my fingers type "weight" - grrr!
If I see something misspelled, I usually just type it the correct way in the comments and hope they catch on.
Hallelujah! I was intrigued by the title of your post when I saw it on another blog. I'm thrilled to find a kindred spirit. I am a grammar pedant - my daughter laughs at me because I have to correctly punctuate my SMS text messages. All this "loosing of weight" drives me batty too!
lol! This used to bug me too, but now I don't really care, I figured life's too short to worry about the "small stuff"!
PS - Love your blog, going to add you to my blogroll, hope that's ok!
Halfdozen--I'd be honoured!
I'm a former English teacher and I thank you. (It's a great reminder to all of us to proof read.)
Too funny! One thing I do all the time is accidentally add a "t" when I'm trying to type the word weigh. I go so fast that I often accidentally add the "t" and type weight. I hope I haven't done that on your blog!
Diane, I do the same thing! It's just a typo. I think the loose-lose thing is real spelling confusion.
