It breaks my heart to see on...Another great post...<br />It breaks my heart to see one of my Spark Friends (yes, the site that's supposed to be all about "health" not "weight loss" - but I challenge you to find THAT underlying meaning!) dutifully logging her calories in vs calories out, then excoriating herself for not losing weight!<br />I wish I knew a tactful way to get her to see things a little differently... The more you weigh - the higher your metabolic rate is because you have more cells doing things. That can explain the difference between two people who eat the same and exercise the same but it has a different effect on their weight.<br /><br />I've rather lost my way on my journey - but reading posts like this is a great encouragement. Life isn't fair when it comes to weight. They are likely as rare as people on the other end of the spectrum - that is, those who gain weight on very low numbers of calories. <br /><br />It's definitely true that some people don't have to try to maintain their weight for a variety of reasons. Some of it may be metabolic, but some of it is also that they don't overeat naturally.
